Fibria Celulose (NYSE:FBR) publishes 2011 Sustainability Report

Fibria Celulose, the world’s leading producer of market pulp, has issued its 2011 Sustainability Report, describing the company’s main achievements and challenges in the economic, financial, social, environmental and governance dimensions.

The structure of the Report was based on the company’s Materiality Matrix, derived from interviews with 85 internal and external stakeholders. The company’s accountability of its positive and negative impacts is complemented by external views, expressed in personal interviews with twelve representatives of neighbouring communities and critical assessments of the Report by two sustainability experts. The Report is independently assured by Bureau Veritas Certification, and applies the Global Reporting Initiative’s G3.1 guidelines at an A+ application level.
