Eni Sustainability Report 2009 is now available at www.eni.com/en_IT/sustainability/sustainability.shtml. It describes the company’s objectives, programs and results in the domain of Sustainability, taking into account the main topics emerged from stakeholders’consultation.
In 2009, Eni became the main international player of the oil and gas sector in Africa: the Report devotes a special focus to its contribution for sustainable development in this Continent.
A dialogue on that issue between the CEO, Paolo Scaroni and Jeffrey D. Sachs, Director of the Earth Institute and Special Counsellor of the UN General Secretary Ban Ki – Moon for the Millennium Development Goals, opens the publication.
Eni Sustainability Report highlights the Company’s commitment towards the respect and promotion of the Global Compact Principles, embedding the Communication on Progress.
Drafted consistently with the Global Reporting Initiative G3 reporting system and certified by Price Water House Coopers, it also includes a detailed booklet on specific sector performance indicators.
