Mobilising development is the theme of the report, which includes the results of new research in India and tackles the challenges of managing responsibly in emerging markets. One section is dedicated to Vodafone’s new operating company in India.
The rapid expansion of Vodafone’s network means one of the biggest challenges is controlling greenhouse gas emissions and the report outlines Vodafone’s strategy to increase energy efficiency. The ambitious target is to halve emissions in established markets by 2020.
The company is also exploring how its products and services can help other industries cut their carbon footprint, and is increasing its focus on managing climate impacts in the supply chain.
