Marathon Oil Corporation, an integrated international energy company headquartered in Houston, Texas, has released its 2007 “Living Our Values” Corporate Social Responsibility Report. The report, which is divided into sections corresponding to the Company’s five core values - health and safety, environmental stewardship, honesty and integrity, corporate citizenship, and a high performance team culture – is based on the API/IPIECA Oil and Gas Industry Guidance on Sustainability Reporting.  Narrative descriptions of the Company’s CSR programs and efforts are combined with quantitative metrics to measure the Company’s non-financial performance.  Global metrics include safety performance, greenhouse gas emissions, and other environmental emissions and releases. A case study of CSR efforts in Equatorial Guinea is also provided to demonstrate how Marathon implements its CSR strategy – and its “Living Our Values” approach – as an integral part of the Company’s broader business strategy.
