Danfoss A/S has published its 2007 Corporate Citizenship Report. The report is available for downloading and ordering at www.danfoss.com/AboutUs/Corporate+Citizenship/

With its Vision and Core Values as foundation, Danfoss wants to be a responsible world citizen. It is deeply rooted in the company’s history and culture and will be reflected in the way Danfoss carries out its daily business. As Danfoss is operating in more than 70 countries, it is often challenged in terms of how to act responsibly in a local context. The Corporate Citizenship Report demonstrates how Danfoss lives up to the promise of being a responsible world citizen, locally.

The Corporate Citizenship Report reflects Danfoss’ overall goal within Corporate Citizenship: “keeping our own house in order”. This can be seen in the three main report sections:

People and Values - employees should have an attractive workplace and a healthy working environment
Corporate Social Responsibility - managing the role Danfoss plays in the local communities where it operates
Environment - Danfoss products contribute to energy savings, and the environmental impact of their production is constantly being reduced

Danfoss uses the UN Global Compact as its framework for addressing environmental and social responsibility, and this is reflected in the Corporate Citizenship Report.

Danfoss A/S is a privately held, family-owned company, based in Nordborg, Denmark. It was founded in 1933 and is today an international Group and a leader in development and production of mechanical & electronic components and solutions. The company’s products help to heat and cool homes and offices, refrigerate food and control production lines.
