AccountAbility publishes Annual Report 2007

Body

AccountAbility, an international non-profit organisation working to promote accountability innovations for sustainable development, launches its annual report named AccountAbility Accounts.

AccountAbility produces an annual set of AccountAbility Accounts, which includes both financial and non-financial performance. Simon Zadek, AccountAbility's CEO describes the purpose of the Accounts as to 'strive to achieve the best practice the organisation advocates to others, ensuring transparency, but crucially translating metrics and dialogue into reflexion, strategy and action'.

The Accounts have endeavored to provide an integrated view of who AccountAbility is, what it does and what its stakeholders think and feel in practical terms about its impacts and how they can be improved. The Accounts have made extensive and often innovative use of the AA1000 Assurance Standard and AA1000 Stakeholder Engagement Standard as well as the GRI’s G3 Reporting Guidelines.

AccountAbility sees this work as an illustration of how accountability innovations can work in practice. AccountAbility encourages you to review these Accounts and think about this question: what does this report tell us regarding expectations for reporting and transparency from small organizations with limited resources?
