European companies are less likely than their US counterparts to cut back on social responsibility measures after takeovers, a new report claims.
The challenges of corporate social responsibility says Europeans ‘tend to leave CSR alone as long as overall company targets are met’ but that several mergers in the US ‘have wreaked havoc on some US corporations and their approach to CSR’.
The report is published by the Philip Morris Institute for Public Policy Research.
