The Rezidor Hotel Group has published its Sustainability Report 2007. The report is available as a pdf, download here

The report describes the company’s Responsible Business (RB) programme that is in place since 2001 and encompasses health and well-being, social and ethical and environmental responsibility. It is structured around Rezidor’s RB policy focused on addressing the needs of the key stakeholders affected by the company’s operations. Hotels report on progress through an annual RB status report and quarterly reporting on environmental performance data. Consolidated performance data included cover managed and leased hotels in operation for the following brands: Radisson SAS, Park Inn, Country Inn and Regent.

Key achievements during 2007 included:
When measured by room nights, Rezidor’s carbon footprint went down by 5% in 2007, compared to the data from 2005
Over 50 percent of hotels undertook some kind of environmental investment during 2007, the vast majority of which were energy saving measures
95% of the hotels performed RB related awareness campaigns and displayed RB communication materials in rooms and lobbies
90% of hotel owners were informed about the RB programme and local action plans
70% of hotels use suppliers that can provide policies on environment and human rights.

Priorities for 2008 include obtaining a significant increase in third party certification, strengthening of the company’s climate change strategy and the launch a new RB training for all employees.

The report is written in line with the G3 Guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative, self-declaring B level.
