The Rezidor Hotel Group has published its Sustainability Report for 2008. The report is available as a PDF download here.
The report describes the company's Responsible Business programme, in place since 2001, and encompassing social, ethical and environmental responsibility. It is structured around Rezidor's Responsible Business policy focussed on addressing the needs of the key stakeholders affected by the company's operations. Hotels reported on progress through an annual status report questionnaire and quarterly reporting on environmental performance data. Consolidated performance data included cover managed and leased hotels in operation for the following brands: Radisson Blu, Park Inn, Country Inn & Suites and Regent.
Key achievements during 2008 include:
Outstanding reductions in the company’s key environmental indicators as compared to 2007

Energy per m² (kWh) down 6% for Radisson Blu, 14% for Park Inn

Water per guest night (litres) down 3% for Radisson Blu, 7% for Park Inn

Waste per guest night (kg) down 2% for Radisson Blu, 22% for Park Inn Number of eco-labeled hotels in key regions tripled Signing of the Global Compact in December Launch of new Responsible Business training for all 32,000 employees
The report is written in line with the G3 Guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative, self-declaring C level.
