3M recently published its 2015 Sustainability Report. This Report, produced annually, provides an in-depth overview of the progress it has made toward applying 3M science to improve lives. This year, 3M has increased its transparency of the information it has learned is most important to its stakeholders, and has made the Report easier to navigate on multiple web platforms. Key recent achievements featured in the Report include:
- Between 2002 and 2014, 3M voluntarily achieved a 64% absolute reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.
- From 2010-2015, 3M increased on-site reuse and recycling by nearly 40%.
- In 2014, 3M recycled 25% of our total water used.
- Continuing since 1975, 3M has prevented more than 2 million tons of air, water and waste pollution through our visionary Pollution Prevention Pays (3P) program.
- In 2014 alone, through use of 3M product platforms, 3M customers avoided 15 million metric tons of CO2.
- 3M invested more than $80 million of cash and in-kind product donations in 2014.
