Each year, Shell releases the Shell Sustainability Report describing Shell’s progress to deliver energy in a responsible way and the company’s contribution to the energy transition. Sustainability continues to be at the core of Shell’s business decisions.
The Sustainability Report 2016 outlines the company’s global approach to sustainability and covers Shell’s environmental, social and safety performance for the year. The report opens with an introduction from Shell’s Chief Executive Officer Ben van Beurden.
This is followed by an overview of the topics that matter most to readers, including Shell’s role in the energy transition, how the company manages its operations and its work with others.
The activities reviewed in the Sustainability Report 2016 include:
