Michael Eckhart is to fill the newly-created role of head of environmental markets and sustainability at the international financial conglomerate Citigroup. Eckhart was previously president of the American Council on Renewable Energy, which he co-founded in 2001. The post will be based in New York. Citigroup has been rebuilding its sustainability focus after cutbacks in 2008.
