Six new countries have achieved compliance with the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI), more than doubling the global standard’s membership.

The Central African Republic, Kyrgyzstan, Niger, Nigeria, Norway and Yemen have been added to the list of EITI-compliant countries, joining Azerbaijan, Ghana, Liberia, Mongolia and Timor East. Guatemala and Trinidad and Tobago have been added as EITI candidate countries.
