Finnish index earmarks top 40

Finland now has its own sustainability index for use by investors.

The OMX GES Sustainability Finland Index was launched last month by the Nasdaq OMX trading exchange group and the Scandinavian SRI research firm GES Investment Services.

The two already run similar indexes of companies in Sweden and the Nordic region generally. The Finnish index is made up of the 40 leading listed companies in the country judged to be the best on sustainability under a GES rating system.
