Australia’s Barrick Gold Corporation is establishing an external CSR advisory board to give the company advice and guidance on ‘challenging social and environmental issues’. Barrick recently adopted the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights, a set of non-binding standards aimed at helping extractive sector businesses to protect their installations without infringing human rights.
