Multinational dairy business FrieslandCampina has pledged to purchase only sustainably produced palm oil from the beginning of 2011. Palm oil and its products are used as ingredients in many of the Dutch company’s products, such as coffee creamers and fat powders for the food industry.

It says all palm oil it uses in the future will be certified according to the principles and criteria of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil.
