Mexico to get its own sustainability index

The Mexican Stock Exchange, Bolsa Mexicana de Valores, (BMV) is to launch a sustainability index.

BMV’s new index will assess Mexico-based listed companies according to data gathered and analysed by UK-based Eiris, along with Ecobanca, Eiris’s research partner in Mexico. The launch will take place at this month’s United Nations Climate Change Conference in Cancun.
