The founder and former chief executive of RiskMetrics, Ethan Berman, has left the company’s new owner MSCI less than a year after the index group’s $1.5billion acquisition.
Berman was expected to quit at the end of the year but is thought to have brought forward his plans due to the swiftness of the two firms’ integration, which has so far resulted in the loss of 80 jobs.
RiskMetrics was formed by Berman in 1998, and was bought by MSCI in March this year.
