Farmers from Brazil, Vietnam and elsewhere have sold record volumes of sustainably sourced coffee under the Utz Certified sustainability scheme. More than 32,000 tons were purchased by coffee brands and manufacturers in the first quarter of this year, almost 20 per cent more than last year’s previous high. Utz says the figures are further proof that the demand for sustainably produced and sourced agricultural products is increasing rapidly.
