More than 200 US companies have pulled advertising from the Fox News Glenn Beck show after slurs on Barack Obama. Right-wing commentator Beck has slowly accumulated boycotts from large businesses including Apple and Waitrose since he accused the US president shortly after his election of being 'a racist' with 'a deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture'.

The Washington Post has reported that Apple has gone a step further and boycotted the entire network, while Fox says it could charge more for advertisements if Beck was more widely acceptable to advertisers.
