A UK programme on responsible corporate travel is to expand its activities into Europe. Project Icarus, begun in 2006, runs an accreditation programme for companies to promote carbon reduction in the business travel industry. The programme, initially set up by the Institute of Travel and Meetings with UK government funding, is to be expanded onto the continent with the help of the newly formed National Business Travel Association (NBTA) Europe.
