Swiss firms will put pay to vote

Two Swiss financial institutions have agreed to submit their executive pay deals to a vote at their annual meetings.

Swiss Re and Zurich Financial Services have made the move after a group of Swiss pension funds filed resolutions asking them to put their remuneration reports to an advisory vote of shareholders.

Holcim and Novartis have so far resisted similar requests.
