Some of the world’s wealthiest foundations have created a network to reduce poverty through investments in small businesses in Africa. The Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs, comprising 35 organizations including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation and the Shell Foundation, was set up last month.
