Fund management company Friends Ivory & Sime has launched a 'major engagement programme' on human rights. The programme will apply to the £2.5billion of socially responsible investments it manages. The UK company says it will 'seek to develop a constructive dialogue with senior management of companies to promote the adoption of robust policies and practices with regard to the protection of human rights in the countries in which they operate'. The UK company has more than £37bn under management.
