Female scientists awarded in Malaysia

L’Oreal Malaysia is granting fellowship awards again to three young researchers in recognition of the contributions of local women scientists to the nation’s progress. The For Women in Science National Fellowships, introduced in 2006, gives a grant of 20,000 ringgits ($6,220, £3,130) to every successful candidate to pursue a scientific project.

The project is supported by the Malaysian National Commission for Unesco and is run in partnership with the Academy of Sciences Malaysia, and the ministries of higher education and science, technology and innovation.
