Stuart Rose, chief executive of Marks & Spencer, is to become chairman of Business in the Community (Bitc) next month. Rose was recently awarded the Bitc Prince’s Ambassador Award for his role in committing the UK retailer to various projects since assuming his post in 2004. He will replace Sir Michael Rake, chairman of BT, who is leaving after three years.
