The Berkeley Group, the UK house-builder with a £1billion ($2.1bn) turnover, will observe seven ‘sustainability commitments’ from next year, including to cut carbon emissions from all its newly built homes by 25 per cent more than the 2006 Building Regulations require, and to site over 95 per cent of new development on brownfield land.
