International law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has introduced a ‘community challenge month’ to increase staff participation in community and pro bono programmes. Employees were encouraged to spend one working day in October on community team challenges set by the business, such as redecorating a homelessness centre in London and teaching disadvantaged children in Beijing.
