A non-governmental organization has taken the unusual step of forming a
‘Sustainable Business Forum’ to attract corporate members.
US-based Rainforest Alliance set up the forum last month to offer advice to companies that join it. Among the first to have done so are Goldman Sachs and Pfizer. Member companies will receive ‘ongoing support and counsel’ and access to research and advisory services, including on product certification systems.
