BP will start a Carbon Challenge programme in September to educate British school pupils about climate change. The programme, for children aged 14 to 16, is linked to the national curriculum and will be produced with London’s Science Museum. It is expected to reach 60,000 pupils at 400 schools annually. The work will build on BP’s Carbon Footprint Toolkit, a free CD-ROM introduced in November 2006 and used by two-thirds of UK secondary schools and colleges.
