Only one in five people in Ireland can name a company they consider to be a good all-round performer on social and environmental issues. An Ipsos Mori poll of 1002 people commissioned by Business in the Community Ireland found that just 21 per cent could think of a company that gives excellent customer service, is a good employer and tries to minimize its environmental impact. Business in the Community Ireland claimed consumers' inability to name socially responsible companies was attributable more to poor communication by business than to a lack of suitable candidates.
