The worker training programme of Social Accountability International
(SAI) has been expanded to include the Prosperous Group, a
3000-employee sports bag manufacturer in Dongguan, China.
SAI is working with the International Textile, Garment and Leather Workers’ Federation for 12 months to establish worker representation in the factory through independent elections by employees.
In addition, the programme will give specialized help to managers, who want greater integration of responsible labour practice and business management.
