The amount invested in British SRI funds open to the public has exceeded £6billion ($11.4bn) for the first time. New figures from Ethical Investment Research Services show £6.1bn in British retail funds at 31 December 2005, up from less than £1.5bn in 1997. The UK has more than 75 ethical funds.
