Proponents of socially responsible investment are hopeful that the UK government will introduce SRI choices in its proposed reforms of the country’s pensions regime. Ministers have indicated an intention ‘to ensure that SRI options will be provided within the range of investment options available under personal accounts’, according to the UK Social Investment Forum.
