KPMG International has appointed Michael Hastings to the newly-created post of global head of CSR. Lord Hastings, who joins from the BBC, where he had been head of CSR since 2003, will concentrate on KPMG’s internal CSR programmes covering its 100,000 employees and partners in 144 countries. His replacement at the BBC, Alec McGiven, is an internal appointment who has worked for two years on corporation projects covering disability and citizenship. In a separate move, James Stacey has moved from leading KPMG’s advisory sustainability practice in the UK to take up a new position with the Environmental Resources Management consultancy in its corporate risk team, where he will focus on corporate responsibility, assurance, and mergers and acquisitions.
