One-time Body Shop sustainability head David Wheeler has been appointed dean of the faculty of management at Dalhousie University in Canada. Wheeler, who worked for The Body Shop as executive director of environmental and social policy, has been professor of business and sustainability at the Schulich School of Business of York University in Canada for the past seven years. He told EP he was keen to use his new position to mainstream the CSR agenda in business schools in North America. ‘It’s probably a first that someone with my background has been appointed a dean of a faculty of management, certainly in North America,’ he said.
