Nine out of ten people in Britain support the idea of mandatory social
and environmental reporting by companies, according to a new poll. The
ICM survey of 1001 members of the public found 89 per cent agreed that
multinationals should be legally obliged to publish such reports. The
poll was commissioned by the Corporate Responsibility Campaign, a
coalition of NGOs that is pushing for mandatory reporting in the UK.
