More than 70 non-governmental organizations have received training on how to obtain funds for social development tasks at an NGO Day run by Microsoft Philippines and Philippine Business for Social Progress.

The event, at the Ortigas Center, Manila, included free workshops on grant-writing, marketing, branding and project management, which are critical tools for development work. Microsoft presented its Unlimited Potential programme, a global initiative helping NGOs to realize their potential to help with development. NGOs can apply for information technology grants under this programme.

The invited speakers included representatives of USAID Philippines and the Asia Foundation.
