MTV’s newly formed global grant-making organization, the Staying Alive Foundation, has disbursed its first cash to 25 groups working for young people in Africa, Asia, eastern Europe and Latin America. The awards, totalling $33,500 (£19,000), will help to tackle HIV and Aids.
