Simon Rogerson, Europe’s first computer ethics professor, has won the Association for Computing Machinery’s Making a Difference award, given annually to mark ‘outstanding contributions to society’s understanding of the social impacts of computing’. Rogerson is director of the UK-based Centre for Computing and Social Responsibility at De Montfort University, Leicester.
