Guidance on SRI for independent financial advisers has been produced by the UK Social Investment Forum. The forum says it has produced the guidance, which is accompanied by free training, to close the gap between what clients want and what they get in terms of advice on investments that reflect their personal concerns. Only five of 35 leading IFA firms contacted this autumn could confirm they asked clients about ‘ethical concerns’ when making routine enquiries, Uksif found.
