About a fifth of listed Canadian companies now produce a stand-alone social and environmental report, says the Certified General Accountants Association of Canada. A survey of more than 200 companies on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the TSX Venture Exchange found 18 per cent produce a stand-alone report, while half provide some coverage in their annual report.
