Cisco, the information technology group, has joined the founding partners of Indigenous Enterprise Partnerships to help the indigenous communities of Cape York, Queensland, Australia.

In collaboration with the non-profit organization, which channels corporate and charity resources into indigenous development, Cisco will provide technical and business knowledge, IT equipment and support to the Cape York Digital Network. The Fortune 100 company will also introduce the communities to Australian IT companies, involve its own employees in IT social and economic projects, and bring in other community initiatives that it supports to help with work in Cape York.
