 Two more large pension fund managers have joined the Enhanced Analytics Initiative, a consortium founded by institutional investors to stimulate research houses to produce better SRI research. Hermes Pensions Management and SPF Beheer will allocate a minimum five per cent of their annual broker commissions to the research houses that best analyse non-financial factors likely to affect companies' performance. Hermes invests funds on behalf of two of the four largest UK pension funds, among other clients, while SPF Beheer is one of the Netherlands' largest managers of pension funds.
