Hanson gets ready to report

Building materials group Hanson is planning to report on corporate responsibility matters for the first time next year.

The UK-based company, which has engaged the consultancy firm Environmental Context to help it carry out a wide ranging audit, says a report should be ready by next summer.

‘It won’t be a social report but it will incorporate social and community data,’ said a spokeswoman.

Hanson also plans to make mention of its social record in its annual report, which is due out in February.
