The first meeting of the group that will develop an ISO social responsibility standard is to be held in Brazil this month. The ISO Working Group on Social Responsibility will meet between 7 and 11 March to set out its work programme and intends to publish a final document in early 2008. The standard will consist of guiding principles on social responsibility. It will not be a management system standard and will not be used for certification.
