Climate change and reducing the gap between rich and poor should be the main priorities for global CSR programmes, according to a declaration adopted in India.The six-point New Delhi Declaration, drawn up by participants at India’s first National Conference on CSR, says businesses can reduce income inequality by treating poor people as a valuable market. The conference, organized by India’s Centre for Social Responsibility and the Institute of Directors, had around 250 delegates.
