Ford is supporting a UK initiative aimed at encouraging employees to become trustees of voluntary organizations and school governors. The automotive company will take part in the Getting on Board initiative by teaming up with Essex county council and the Essex Community Foundation near its main UK base in Dagenham. It says experience gained by staff in such roles will improve their management skills and therefore benefit the business as well as local organizations.
