Westpac heads Aussie index

Westpac has come top in an annual index of corporate reputation in Australia.

The bank, which recently produced its first social report (EP4, issue 5), headed the index run by Reputation Management consultancy, which measures companies using social impact, environmental performance and employee management criteria.

Australia Post, last year’s number one company, was in second place, followed in descending order by Energex, Queensland Rail, car manufacturer Holden and IBM.
