A series of protests were held against the Taco Bell fast food chain in the US last month as part of a ‘truth tour’ highlighting demands for improved working conditions and wages for people who pick the tomatoes that go into the company’s products. The protests, in support of mainly Latino, Haitian, and Mayan Indian immigrant workers in Florida, included a picket of the firm’s California headquarters.
